The aim of Soccer SIPS is to present the game to pre-school aged children in a relaxed, learning environment adopting a holistic approach that introduces the players to basic soccer concepts and problem solving. SIPS aims to use the sport of soccer to teach in an environment that always remembers that ‘children learn by having fun’.

Social Development. SIPS programs actively promote self confidence, self-esteem, concentration, perseverance and sensitivity to others.
Intellectual Development. The SIPS curriculum encourages the child to enhance communication, mathematical, language and literacy skills through a variety of creative soccer exercises.
Physical Development. SIPS games aid basic motor learning encouraging the child to experience an array of movement, aiding coordination and physical well-being.
Skills. SIPS teaches the fundamentals of soccer and encourages creativity.

Why the 3-5 year old age group?

•    The Preschool age group still has limited access to organized sport despite having large amounts of free time during the day.
•    SIPS builds a strong soccer foundation, ensuring that players are more technically adept in later ‘Travel’ and ‘High School Years’.
•    SIPS is a fun, proactive program and an excellent form of exercise.

Is there a set curriculum?

SIPS has developed ‘The Guide’, a comprehensive series of innovative games that will challenge the children. ‘The Guide’ has been developed with Indoor locations in mind and will therefore not cause any damage to the facility.  The players will participate in approximately 4/5 games per hour, finishing with a fun penalty shootout.

What is the player/ coach ratio?

SIPS will operate with a maximum of a 10/1 ratio.
